“One little murder and I’m Jack the Ripper.” – Larry (played by Billy Crystal) on the unfairness of it all in Throw Momma From The Train (1987).
We love this movie. It’s a classic black comedy that has some masterful performances from co-stars Billy Crystal and Danny DeVito although the standout is Anne Ramsey who steals the show with her terrifying turn as Momma.
Based on Hitchcock’s Strangers on a Train (something the movie rather wears on its sleeve), the movie follows DeVito and Crystal as they plot to swap murders. If you haven’t seen it, check it out.
